Currently running a Curse of Strahd game and kind of wishing I was a player. After brainstorming some, I came up with a thri-kreen aberrant mind sorcerer from Athas. He would be bewildered by all the trees and grass, but also giddy at the fact he could cast spells without turning the area immediately turning into aspects of a desert. As for motivations, keep paying him with precious metal, and he’ll keep going.
