I had tickets for his show in Lubbock Tx September 25, 1990, unfortunately he passed August 27, 1990. I remember when I heard he had passed; I turned on The Sky is Crying, and poured me a shot of Maker’s Mark. I can assure that sky wasn’t the only thing crying that day. Is he the greatest to ever play the blues? No. Do I think he was the greatest to play the blues? Of course, I am a stubborn Texan. RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan. Your music still speaks.

I smoked a Doobie with SRV 1981 out back of Antoine's in Austin in between sets.
When he found out my age (I was 17, fake ID) his drummer(?) shuttled him off quickly.
He came up to me (the drummer) after the show to get from me what I had left, for some signed merch, of course.😎🤘
He was the GOAT!
I miss hi
