Tteokbokki
(Stir-fried rice cake)
# Ingredients (serve 2)
- Tteokbokki rice cake 200g
- fish cake 80g
- water 200ml
- onion 30g
- green onion 10g
- dried anchovies, shrimps and kelp
• Sauce
- Gochujang (red chili pepper paste) 25g
- Ganjang (Korean soy sauce) 10g
- Jochung (Rice syrup) 20g
- sugar 5g
1. Rinse the rice cake. If the rice cake is hard, blanch in boiling water until soft.
2. Slice the onion and green onion.
3. Cut the fish cake into bite size pieces.
4. Pour water into the pan and add dried anchovies, shrimps and kelp. Boil the broth for 10 minutes.
5. Strain the dried thing and add the sauce and mix well.
6. When water and sauce starts to simmer, add the rice cake and fish cake.
7. Add onion and green onion and simmer it until sauce thickens.
