☀️ Welcome Oyster’s July 8 - 13, 2024 bamboo fly rod making class! 10 students are celebrating summer ☀️learning to make bamboo fly rods in our Southern Appalachia town of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
This week, we are delighted to welcome back 4 repeat students to our bamboo fly rod making class. Fred has returned for his second class and brought his wife Rhonda along for her first experience - so far, so good! Additionally, Fred convinced Paul J to join us for the week to delve into the art of crafting a bamboo rod. Steven is here crafting his second rod for his children, with plans for more to come (and then there are the grands 🤷🏽‍♀️)!

Then there is our father / son duo of Hampton and Matt who waited three years but are finally here!

David and Bob are here for their first class because of their “better halves”. We need to give a shout out to the wives who regularly buy these classes for our students who may never do this for themselves. ✨

This week marks Paul T.’s 10th class! We all know what this means around here. CAKE! 🍰 Paul brought his daughter Kelly for her second class. She will eat cake too. Stay tuned…
