As a customer, I avoid devices that limit Memory expansion. I urge companies to avoid this practice if they care for the planet more than just profits.

I mean, they’re cheap. People that buy computers like these aren’t thinking about that and they’re very consumer grade laptops. People that do know what they want in a computer and have certain needs will be avoiding these models in the first place based off their specs alone

In a nut shell if your gonna plan for a upgrade don't get a slim laptop, some people are happy with this, like we do our phones, these so called dirty secrets are for there slim mobile range, slim books, we should ignore there profits, there a business profit is what they aim for, it'll also make the manufacturing process quicker and cheaper, before complaining use common sense

Tbh the bigger problem is repairability imo. If you know what you’re looking at with computers it’s easy to get the right amount of memory but it’s significantly harder to the point it’s usually not worth it to replace soldered memory in most cases. Also Im pretty sure the reason they do it is because it’s significantly cheaper to manufacture not because they want to sell more when you realize you need more memory
