this is a huge reminder that weight loss isn’t always indicative of healthiness! so we should keep comments about weight, even if they seem positive, to ourselves. you never know why someone is losing or gaining weight.

Glad to see someone talk abt weight loss as a possible sign of poor mental health / doing poorly. Same thing happens to me. Even worse i used to have a restrictive ED and even tho i'm completely recovered it means ppl think i'm doing it on purpose and blame and scold me like i'm misbehaving or smtg when i'm actually physically struggling to care for myself bc of my disability and my depression. Like i'm trying to pull one over on them. My own GP was triggering me SO bad obsessing abt my weight that I told her unless she stopped talking to me about it (unless she was willing to do smtg abt it like prescribe me medical weight gain shakes or pain mgmt or anything to actually HELP ME) i would stop seeing her.
Anyway I gained the weight back too w my partner's support and ppl don't understand why I'm happy bc I'm pretty curvy (NOT unhealthy, I am not medically overweight) so they think I'd want to be skinny. I don't. I want to be MY healthy weight.
