I would agree that Jimi Hendrix was the greatest guitar player of all time because like all innovators, reached into his own mind to do what he did and without even being able to read One Note of music. I don't clearly remember meeting him before he became famous because my older brothers went to high school with him, and at that time, I was just about 5 or six years old when Jimi used to come to our home with a couple of my older brothers as friends.

Jimi is the Greatest Guitar player to walk planet Earth. Because he couldn't read or write music and Jimi created a new way to play the Guitar using his thumb and chord shapes and Jimi created his own style of music and his showmanship, Freaky Fashion,he mastered feedback,his volume and Jimi took us on an acid trip into other galaxies and the crazy sounds he created with only 2 or 3 effects pedals. I met over 80 guitar players and they all said Jimi Hendrix music got them started with the guitar.
