Another tip for hand tool woodworkers -
Since you will be squaring stock by hand , you DO NOT need to have all the legs fully S4S ... All you need is the reference face and reference edge to be perfectly square where the aprons attach .. AND you dont even need the whole reference face and edge to be perfectly square , you ONLY need the first few inches where the apron attaches as only this portion will determine the squareness of the table. This would be a good video idea rex .. old timey woodworkers that only used hand tools knew this and they focused on the areas that mattered for squareness

Tip from machinist world: if you have a flat on one side and round on the other side object, it will help clamp on not perfectly true and straight objects and fix the reference only to one jaw of the vise. Basically the round side will only contact at a tangent point so youāll always contact one fixed jaw perfectly and get a better average force on the rest of the part

I know you like to chop legs with an ax to rough out tapers, but an advantage of rip sawing the tapers is you get a perfectly matching shim for free!
