Since the recent advances in technology. - namely cues and tips - there have been more shots showing what wouldve been considered extreme cue power/ action generated on the white.
I dont think ive made myself fully clear.
There have been more of those shots by far more of the players in these few short years than ALL the years prior.
As with every sport - and just about every thing - the standard goes up. Training, mental skills, nutrition, coaching, snowball effect of more top players around. As a whole, yes, cue actions have def got better. More technically sound on these tables anyway.
But none of that equates to what we're seeing with the ease of shot making with the new equipment compared to what was the norm in times prior.

Not really a draw shot he did a stun shot with alot of just below center left. The cue spun off the rail back towards the next ball. This not that big of a deal if you know english. You can see the spin was still spinning with mostly center spin so stop making it seem like it's a amazing amount of draw! It was not that amazing.

I honestly think he was trying to draw it to the other side of the 7 because at his level of knowledge he knows hes threatening scratching into the pocket drawing it to that side of the 7.
Why take the risk when drawing it to the other side he could still make the 7 and the same shape on the 8 ball.
Almost positive he meant to draw it to the other side of the 7 but either way it worked out beautifully. Very nice 4 ball run out.
