But....the source, the steam, and the pool are not separate personalities while also 1 being. Nor does one of the aspects of the fountain claim that another aspect of the fountain is the "only True" Fountain.

Tertullian did not originate the word "Trinity" nor did he formulate an outline for the idea of the Trinity. The apostate church flipped his words around and made it appear that he was describing the orthodox beliefs, but he was actually describing the heresy that Praxeas was spreading. Tertullian was against the Trinity and making Jesus a God. Praxeas was the one promoting the Trinity, making Jesus a God. Later on the Romanized church went with Praxeas but reformulated the Trinity. And now they twist Tertullian's words and take it out of context to create the illusion that the Trinity was the orthodox view.
However all one needs to do is go read his works themselves to discover that Tertullian was describing the heresy of Praxeas and not the orthodox beliefs of the Christians.
"But keeping this prescriptive rule inviolate, still some opportunity must be given for reviewing (the statements of heretics), with a view to the instruction and protection of divers persons; were it only that it may not seem that each perversion of the truth is condemned without examination, and simply prejudged; especially in the case of this heresy, which supposes itself to possess the pure truth, in thinking that one cannot believe in One Only God in any other way than by saying that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are the very selfsame Person. As if in this way also one were not All, in that All are of One, by unity (that is) of substance; while the mystery of the dispensation is still guarded, which distributes the Unity into a Trinity, placing in their order the three Persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost: three, however, not in condition, but in degree; not in substance, but in form; not in power, but in aspect; yet of one substance, and of one condition, and of one power, inasmuch as He is one God, from whom these degrees and forms and aspects are reckoned, under the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. How they are susceptible of number without division, will be shown as our treatise proceeds."

- believing in the false trinity doctrine has of course no detrimental effects on your salvation
- however, there is ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT that the trinity doctrine is an INVENTED, CONVENTIONAL, FALSE doctrine
- the reason is that Jesus crystal clearly states who is God: God is made BY THE FATHER AND THE SON. PERIOD. "I am in the Father and the Father in me" "my Father works now, so I work" "He who has seen me has seen the Father" "I and my Father are one." He who sees me sees Him who sent me." "the Father is in me, and I in Him."...
-Jesus further adds that He is subordinate to this Father, NOT EQUAL "the Father is greater than I". The Son's existence has his origin in the Father whilst the Father has no origin in the Son, they are not equal.
- the catholic church could simply ACCEPT Jesus' words! On the contrary in a stupid and arrogant manner it was decided to dump precious information regarding God and create a CONVENTIONAL doctrine: an alleged "third God-person" was added. That alleged THIRD person is the Holy Spirit (aka Spirit of God). They failed to understand that the Spirit of God - who comes from God - is the SAME GOD in the form of a Spirit, not someone else! "God is a spirit". God in the form of a spirit dealt with Mary's pregnancy, led Jesus into the desert, later helped Him when speaking too...
- that worthless doctrine is still here after 1600 years only because A. it has been protected as a dogma and B. because in a past time challenging the doctrine could cost your life. Without those protections it would immediately disappear.
