For riding motorcycles you want something on your feet that has good grip, leather for an outsole is terrible for grip especially in wet or in slippy conditions of gas stations!

You can see from the wear, that this guy was using them on a motorbike (the 2 holes on the one foot from the gear shift, and the one on the other from the brake)
And these are very impractical to use for that.

There should be a requirement that quality of âluxuryâ branded items be QC by external agency that ensures that âLuxuryâ brands are not selling cheap garb. So if luxury brand actually sells a plastic heel in their luxury leather shoe rather than real leather, itâs identified on the label. These companies will cheap out on quality, country produced (many creating fast fashion out of china and charging a premium price) and quality craftsmanship. Obviously as a consumer you have to be very picky about what you purchase. Great job on the resole!

Shoe making/repair is a lost art. There should be more apprenticeships so we don't lose it altogether. And shame on St. Laurent for cheaping out on their boots.
