He... still kidnapped Persephone first. And also the reason why Persephone spends some time in the overworld and some in the underworld is because Hades gave Persephone a pomegranade when he heard that Persephones mother was trying to get her back. Some myths said she ate 6 seeds representing 6 months of the year, some myths say she ate half the pomegranade which represents half of the year. Pomegranade is a fruit of marriage (Hera's symbol), so they got "half married". So she has to spend half the year in the underworld with him (autumn and winter, when the nature "dies" - its because Persephone's mother is in despair) and spring and summer with her mother (plants "come back to life", flowers blossom). She did not have a choice. Stop with this bull-crap misinformation!
