When you go for contemporary ideas.. always consider traditional functionality.... instead going only for aesthetic's.
For eg...Every Refrigerator ( New /Old) requires breathing space to function properly.. If it does not get enough room for air circulation, the system will heat up and work twice as hard to remain cool. This will also increase your electricity bills and shorten the lifespan of your refrigerator.

Yeah, put the fridge 5m away from the kitchen with a complete island/table in between to make it even more difficult to access.

Lol, let's put the microwave down, so you need to bend down to open it, stand up to pick whatever you need warmed up, bend down to put it in the micro, bend further down to punch the timing, stand up for that time it is heating, then bend down to open and pick up whatever it is you just heated, stand up to put it on the counter, then bend down to shut the microwave door, then stand up again. There is useless and there is more useless and then there is worthless, which is what this design is.

What do you do with the chairs when you push the table in? I like the idea, but I think it would get to b a hassle having to pull out the table and get the chairs every time we want to eat. We would probably kep the table out all the time, and it would get messy
