The american office excelled when it didnt rry to copy the UK version. The UK version was iconic and very, well british comedy. The american one had to be "americanied"

I didn’t notice any difference between seasons 1 -2. The only time I took notice was when I was in a few episodes after Michael Scott left on the plane and realized he wasn’t coming back (I just skimmed through Netflix's description of episodes to see if any of the mentioned Michael). After that, I stopped watching the show. The last time I saw an episode was to watch the final episode to see how it ended.

Should I give the American office another shot then? I watched a couple episodes, and because the first episode is basically the same as the UK version, and the tone kind of try’s to stick to that for the first season, it just felt really off to me. Like it just felt they were trying to make the UK one but American. If they did change it quite a bit I might give it another shot because people always say it’s great.

I remember so many people recommended the office to me. I put it off for so long because I just didn’t have the energy or time to watch it. I put on the first season and I was completely taken aback. I had to keep telling myself it’s the early 2000s.

Not going to lie, I tried to give it a chance a few times. First time I gave up after the second episode, then a few years later I tried again but to some people's recommendations I just went to the second season... still couldn't get into it. Probably not my cup of tea, but to others, they enjoy it and that's alright.

The first three seasons are the best seasons. Literally episode #2 is the funniest episode in the whole series
