I wrote my psychological thesis around this. A gentle reminder; at least 10% of men will have postpartum depression symptoms. Most men feel as if they are ignored during the pregnancy journey. A lot of men (two thirds) report feeling a sense of dread or burden when their child arrives for theyâre now solely responsible for the financial and emotional well being of their partner and child. This life transition is just as impactful for men as it is for women and itâs time we really start to acknowledge this.
