There's a reason it doesn't come like that from the factory...

Save money? No. Save time? Yes.

If youā€™re just trying to avoid making a mess, my recommendation is to get an oil siphon pump from harbor freight and use it to empty the oil pan into your container. But store it in a plastic container (like the cleaned oil pan) because the residual oil slowly leaks out of the pump when it sits.

Never had one of those but Iā€™ve always been curious. A lot of people saying itā€™s a bad idea because of rocks. The chances of a rock hitting and breaking it are pretty low, but I can see where it might catch garbage or something. Also, Iā€™ve had stuff torn off the bottom of my car (heat shields and plastic shields) driving through snow. Donā€™t know how likely that is to happen but it would make me nervous.

At my shop we love these. (Heavy duty diesel) Never seen one on a car, but in my opinion it'll keep even the wrost mechanics from over torquing.

Untill that valve breaks off from a rock

People have been running these valves for decades. Everyone says "ooh it's gonna break off" but I've never heard of it. Anything that's gonna rip that valve out would bust the pan anyway

You know, you don't have to change the plug every time--in fact I've never had to change the plug. You just replaced steel with brass...which is more durable?

My car is a lot simpler I just turn the bolt and oil comes out. No need to add levers or spend $30 on a piece of junk.

There's no nut to change. It's a bolt that functions as a plug. You spent money on something a car doesn't need. It also makes it easier to lose the oil from debris knocking that cheap valve from the car. Results you saved 30 seconds spent 30 dollars for something I would throw in the trash.

that not gonna last long bro, once you hit a speed bump or pothole it will get damaged and most likely break the threads off your oil tank, which then youā€™ll either need to re-thread it or have to completely change the oil tank

Nobody do this at all.

Donā€™t listen to these fools stuck in the 80s. These valves are awesome. Plus so many cars today, have the oil pan covered by underlining, so these arguments are completely ridiculous.

Ooo ur gonna regret that bro those valves are weak as shit
