If you just want the weapon for aesthetics, there is really no harm in pulling for it. Then again, that is up to you, if you want to save up for another character then don't. I pulled for it because I wanted it, especially for the looks. You can just always have it in your storage and go for other weapons such as the black tassel or other weaps if you are planning on doing the abyss. Just play the game how you want it, most of the comments are only stating weapons which are the most viable for him.
