I'm British. It's weird AF here right now.
1. We arrested and charged a guy for praying silently in his head - the first ever "thought crime"
2. A young lady's friend died in a car accident, she posted his favourite song lyrics on Instagram. A rap song, with the N word. She was arrested, charged, fined, tagged and put on a 2 year curfew from 8pm to 8am.
3. A man on posted 3 memes on Facebook, pictures of immigrants with the caption "coming to a town near you. 2 years in prison.
4. A 53 year old posted on Facebook, commenting on repairing a mosque - āItās absolutely ridiculous. Donāt protect the mosque. Blow the mosque up with the adults in it.ā Whilst that is pretty reprehensible, I dont think its deserving of 15 months in prison.
5. Oh, and our most famous newsreader for the BBC is a pedo. He was caught on 3 counts of making child P. 6 month suspended sentence, no jail time. Keeps his Ā£300k a year tax payer funded pension.
I could go on but honestly it's just really depressing. If say anything about any of this, you're immediately labelled a far right thug, a bigot and a racist.
The atmosphere here is really weird at the minute.

I am a huge fan of lotr and the hobbit. I have been since I was a kid too. I went on a lotr and hobbit tour in New Zealand called red carpet tours. You go to all the different filming locations with special access all over the north and south island, i met daniel Reeve and i got a bunch of stuff from him and he signed everything, went to weta Cave, visited hobbiton and I can go on and on. They have different tours but I choose the 14 day for the full experience. I highly recommend to all diehard lotr and hobbit fans. It was a bucket list trip for me, and I can't wait to go back. It's such a beautiful country. Thank you, NZ.
