My dog loves running in the snow so much! Even if it’s not snow it could be frost or the any other cold winter weather. As a slightly overweight, and aging dog, he doesn’t run as much as he used to (he still does, but not those big figure eight laps around the yard like he used to. When he runs he usually stops much sooner), and he also doesn’t play as much (unless it’s my mom), especially not with toys (he usually rough houses instead, but I think he doesn’t like to with my siblings and I because he’s a gentle giant). Despite this, when it snows, I think it makes him feel like he’s young again! It’s great to see him like that! One reason could be because he doesn’t want to stand in one place because it might make his paws cold, and running warms him up, but I don’t think that’s it. He also just seems happier and more energized even when he’s inside. That’s not saying he’s not happy otherwise, but he doesn’t have as much energy, like in the summer or on sunny days he pretty much only sunbathes lol
