Five Nights at Freddy's Into the Pit advertises itself as being the main protagonist Oswald traveling back in time to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in 1985 to witness the aftermath of William Afton's crimes, and save a bunch of kids as well as his dad. However, if the Yellow Rabbit in ITP was William, he wouldn't have a mouth full of knives, which implies it's not real time travel.
That begs the question, why would stuff like Pittrap breaking a door in the "past" change the present? Well it might be more simple than you think.

I would wager that there's a lot of people that don't know that in the original ITP story it isn't time travel but emotion/memory blood infused thing

I have a theory that the VR and VANNI networks are powered by Agony, which has been shown in Into The Pit to be able to overlay reality, possess someone exposed to it, manifest memories, manipulate real world objects and bring things from memory into reality. Just like we can see in Help Wanted 1&2 and Ruin.

I definitely think people tend to miss the supernatural aspect of fnaf but of course people do believe that the animatronics are haunted but it seems like they donât know when supernatural comes is into the picture but to be fair not everyone read into the pit so thatâs whatâs good about having fnaf theorist like you to get information like that out there!

True. The posters in the first game, paper pals in general, the tiles of Fnaf 3 making a keypad, tons of weird things. Also the fact that the illusion of Sarah from To Be Beautiful only has her fall apart once it's broken by a necklace being lost. The twisted memories, agony, remnant, and such can influence the world around them easily. Even less actively permeating emotions like sadness, need for affection, guilt, happiness, self confiction, and rage all affect things in the Fnaf multiverse. Robot Charlie's forms each inhabited the emotions Henry went through in building them, with Henry's memory of Charlie's kind heart being a throughline in the Ella Doll. Jake's caretaker telling stories of The Real Jake while making the fake doll o fhim have experiences of it's own on top of Jake's original memories as he died all making it come to life and leave the closet. Inflicting a curse on Pete to make danger magnetize to his eye and arm as he worries about it. It all shows the supernatural as very flexible as long as memories can be involved. The Twisted One's work through memory of them breaking the illusions they cast to appear friendly from the sound illusion disks. Even the Glamrocks kind of are haunted by their own memories and experiences, as well as Charlie's robot forms. Circus Baby and Elizabeth have their own memories and different thoughts mix together as well. And so might the OG crew, as well as their emories being easily influenced by mere pictures of themselves. It all ties into memories, good and bad alike, taking tangible form. So even a fake memory of a door breaking could lead to the door disappearing with caution tape near it. So like a Mandela effect would take physical form.

Agony in general doesn't adhere to physics, so it's definitely possible for it just do things. The game was also originally gonna be a 16 bit SNES game, so chances are it was intended to be some sort of in-universe video game, which could also explain things like that.

I feel like the Ballpit contains The Flipside just like in FNAF World.
And most of its agony from the old lore affects the real world due to Oswaldâs consequences on leading Pittrap out into the real world.
The only thing I can say about Pittrap is that heâs more like a âsinner ghostâ whoâs haunting its own property like a demon that needs to be baptized. Itâs like how the Conjuring movies have evil people from long ago and use them as âdemon ghostsâ to haunt their own property.
So take FNAF like that: Pittrap is probably the reincarnation of William from UCN, but is not William literal.

I think I found something.
The exact date of the carnival fire was a lunar eclipse, as hinted in HW2, which gives us a very close range of dates among 1970 and 1985, specially there was a TOTAL eclipse on FALL 1979 (SOTM year).

My theory is that the interpretation of Freddyâs comes directly from the missing children, hence why pit Bonnie looks the way he does, itâs because itâs how the kids saw afton when he was doing his whole murdering thing

I do think itâs crazy that not only did into the pit get a game adaptation, but weâre also getting an interactive novel titled: Return to the pit.
I am excited to see where this book is gonna take us, and if itâs a continuation from the original book? đ

So Oswald leaving the building back in "time" ending right, wouldn't he just go back to the present if none of it was actual time travel.

I feel like it's not Oswald being in an agony memory, but his soul leaving his body and walking in another dimension that coexists with the real world. Let's say that souls that are traveling through this agony dimension can interact with the real world, and the actions in this dimension have impact on the real world, sort of like poltergeists.
Then it wouldn't be weird that Oswald gets real things from the pit and the door gets destroyed in both worlds.
Also, i know it's irrelevant, but i think that this memory is created based on William's agony the most, that William got springlocked after he killed the kids, but managed to get out of the suit, like in the Silver Eyes.

Okay so disregarding that while Larson is in Eleanor's memories he does in fact change an event in Blackbird that we see happen in the story, which therefore means it has to be Time Travel in at least some sense or it's still possible.
It's a really jerk move to constantly advertise in the trailer, the description, and all the marketing of this game that it is in fact time travel. And then it's not. You could argue it's Scott's trolling but like, it's still kinda annoying.
But yeah I don't think everything in ITP can be explained by just agony, whether it not it was tine teavel. There was definitively a yellow rabbit that hopped outta the ball pit, temporarily kidnapped and replaced Oswald's Dad, and then got trapped before eventually escaping.
