Interesting. I really love to see the way the character changed from the beginning to the final version we got. Seems rawer and more overtly on the defensive, rather than being an onion with several outer layers that take a lot of work to peel away. I’d like to think this is a version of Astarion from right after he was turned, confused and trying to figure out how he should relate to the outside world as a new vampire. Very interesting, knowing what we now know.
