We're often told its a cardinal sin to slow down musical transcriptions. The end goal being to be able to transcribe other musicians (or our own minds) in real time while on stage. But this takes time. And for those of us in the beginner, intermediate, and int-advanced range, I think excluding slowed down transcription practice from your playing is a huge mistake.
