Sphinx Moth on milkweed, so cool. I see a few up here, once in a while. Rick is correct, they are the adult of hornworm caterpillars. Keep an eye on your tomato plants, just pluck them off and freeze them. That is my go to now for getting rid of insect pests I can grab.
