Not me doing that on accident all the time because the volume knobs on strats are peak inconvenience

You can also solder a capacitor to the volume knob's potentiometer to get the treble bleed mod.

When I saw Van Halen play in 2007, Eddie was doing some crazy stuff with swells, and the volume knob during his solos, really inspiring stuff

That’s why Eddie used his V knob as a TONE knob, it’s not hard but some people make things difficult, I’m no EVH, but then again, I’m no slouch, jam on my friends 🤘

For the most part, my volume knob is a kill switch. “On” for shred, “Off” for beer.

Tony Iommi would play his riff with the volume on 8 but for the leads he would bump it up to 10. That’s a fun way to make your leads stand out.

I modified my Ibanez
It has only one pickup and one volume knob.
Now it has one pickup and an on/off switch. That's it

that's actually one of the first things my guitar teacher taught me about when we started talking about the actual electrical mechanisms of a guitar :)

Its so good for when you are playing hard chords vs single notes, volume is essential

So true, especially with PRS guitars, you can alter the tone dramatically with the volume knob. Once I learned that, I loved my PRS ever since

Yea that’s why I love evh’s Wolfgang’s no friction v knob with a high friction tone knob leaves u with some fun things to experiment with

I sometimes turn the volume close to off in overdrive for a dirty/clean melodic tone. As well as controlling sustain

Learned this months ago, this really made my plays sound way cleaner too, just using it basically as a built in noise gate

With the volume knob at about 6.5 or 7, the crunch is perfect on hi gain, just enough to where it prevents the "usually good sounding" chords from sounding like they're fighting each other
