In my mid-twenties, while in naval training as a surgical technician, I encountered a residential doctor who left forceps, detractors, 'n several sponges in a patient's abdominal cavity after a serious major surgery. In ICU during a post-opt-check-up, patient was complaining about some pain in the recent surgical procedure. So the head surgeon ordered a X-Ray, discovered those instruments 'n sponges in her abdominal cavity. The residential doctor was delighted to do a do-over, clapping her hand like a kid, who was responsible for that phase of closing up after the major surgery was done. I was sick 'n pissed at that insensitive doctor. Unbelievable!!!😢
