This reminds me of when I start taking care of my mom's 30-35 year old Western Saddle. Some stitching was falling out, and a bunch of gouges in the skirt of it. But I was honestly surprised by how good it still looked since it was sitting in the back of a shed for around 6-10 years. The pony saddle that was with it was absolutely torn up and unfixable as the stirrup was straight up ripped in the middle.
I'm happy to have been given permission to keep the Saddle, it's such a nice looking saddle. And a great thing to remember my mom with.

I got my period at every single freaking show I went to this summer/spring/fall. I maybe got it once not at a show in the summer. My saddle didn’t stain tho so it’s okay!

ok one this that might be making your leg slide back is if you don’t have a calf block it will make your leg slide back a lot so when looking for a saddle look for a calf block

oh my god I just realized that the saddle my trainer gave me has a huge blood stain on it 😭 I thought that it might have been but now I’m sure. Turns out I have the 40+ year old relic of someone’s lowest moment
