I have one of those and it works great. Of course the wood top will fall apart if it gets wet too many times. I'm in my sixty's so I keep my eight foot ladder beside it to climb up on it. Not a spring chicken any more.

What a craftsman like you needs is a circular rail that holds a scaffold the rail is set into the ground and a very sturdy scaffold art with locking wheels and a depth adjuster that also locks into position it all becomes one piece of scaffolding in a circle and will not budge when working or standing on it if your interested let me know , it’s a lot safer for us as we are getting older ,ya it’s true we have close calls as carvers but,the first thing a human does if he slips is to rid the saw away from him so ha can fall and try not to bust a collar bone and watching how to get away from a reved up chainsaw if it falls on you it’s bad if you fall on it it’s bad and nobody cares what’s about to happen to them after having a tenth of a second to react, to where the saw is there’s not enough time to asses the ground and or objects that can be deadly as you fall as long as that saw is dealt with first you have a better chance at surviving with minimal damage from the ground , of course the easiest and safest way to do it is in a hydraulic bucket lift you don’t need that big old truck for this one just a hydraulic lift scaled down and then you can have multiple carving sites for different applications . Just sayin!
