This video is about how Domino's turned its business around using technology and genius marketing - not all of its marketing worked. Domino's launched a campaign to give Russian customers a lifetime supply of pizza, but the campaign was too successful and had to be canceled after a few days.
Around the time of the financial crisis, Domino's was in deep trouble and had an incredibly low share price. One of the main problems was that they had a bad reputation for the taste of their product. Domino's revamped its recipe and launched effective marketing campaigns to show its customers they listened.
Next, Domino's expanded its technology and allowed customers to order from different devices, including Alexa's, TV's and the Domino's AI assistant.
Finally, Domino's employed marketing campaigns such as encouraging customers to take pictures of potholes in their municipality and report them with the Domino's app. Domino's made financial contributions towards fixing those potholes.
Unfortunately, not all marketing campaigns have been successful. Domino's offered any Russian customers a lifetime supply of pizza if they were willing to get a tattoo of Domino's pizza. The campaign was meant to last for several months, but was canceled after a few days due to its popularity.
