絹の寿命、、、深く考えたこと無かったです。
祖母の着物はまだ着られているけれど、確かに生地が薄くなってきています。
何度も洗い張りされて、柔らかくなって着やすくなり、さらに弱っていく。。。。
木綿着物はヘビロテしたら 数年で擦りきれるので、絹ってすごいんだなぁと 改めて思いました！
