Very lore accurate night elf. The Night elves were initially hostile to both horde and alliance when they landed on Kalimdor. Several early missions in the Nelf campaign had you killing human and orc indiscriminately. Even when Tyrande and Malfurion allied with Jaina and Thrall, I imagine there were still Night elves who viewed the horde and the alliance as a plague.

We need more of this! The Horde is always dealing with in-fighting while the Alliance has everyone being happy to rally behind their human king. I want to see more night elves like this. Gnomes unhappy that the Alliance still hasn't committed help to Gnomeregan. Worgen who disagree with the peace treaty, give into their anger, and go rogue.

She's kinda right. The Nelves being in the Alliance and the Forsaken being in the Horde doesn't really make a lot of sense coming off the narrative of WC3. The devs just wanted them to be playable so they put them in whatever faction made the most sense. Still kinda wish the Horde had gotten Goblins early instead of Forsaken though.
