I’ll show you how I sketch a face in side view using a fast sketching technique where I don’t use construction lines. This sketch was done using a photo reference where I use an observation method to draw each part in relation to the last. In real time it took me 6 minutes to complete and I have sped the video up to fit in 1 minute. I am using a Conté à Paris Pierre Noire 3B sketching pencil on a Moleskine Classic notepad.
