I mean Inside Out 2 cost Pixar/ Disney (actual animation companies) 200 million dollars and thatâs just for 1 hr and 36 mins. So 250 mil for about 12-13 hrs is pretty much worth it. Considering Arcane will also go down as probably the most decorated animated series of all time, itâs a good investment. I also like that Riot didnât need to prolong the story. Quality over quantity.

I think I've watched somewhere that explains that if you divide the budget to each Act from season 1 to season 2, with a runtime of at minimum 1hr 30mns per act, it would actually cost less than an average animated movie. Plus unlike those animated movie, Arcane boast a plethora of singers from different genre.

Lets just say this is a 12 hour long movie with peak music and storytelling
For comparison animated movies are also around the 200million mark but only 2 hrs long with a lot of the time cliche story and meh music

I mean, riot can just make bangers after bangers of music, music videos, tv series, etc, all with blank checques. They can just release another lux skin if they're ever in a tight spot, so no worries about budget issues on their projects.

To say that money didnât go to good use would just be wrong though. They absolutely cooked with it, it is not just some of the best animated content out there but some of the best content out there PERIOD.

I've been saying some of these skins Riot is selling was a necessary evil so they can have the money to make skins and content that definitely didn't sell as well as Lux or Ezreal skins.

There have been way shittier films that were way more expensive. I'd say it's actually kind of cheap considering how beautifully made the series is

You have to remember that the series is movie level of animation and work. Each season is around 6 hours long.
each season is the equivalent of 3 movies in lenght.
That is 6 whole movies. The cost of production is surprisingly low for something like that.
