I had some in Mexico on several occasions. Not my favorite as it can get slimy and cringes between my teeth and I personally do not like it. The flavor is ok and the idea of eating a cactus is pretty cool.

Delicious, had for the first time last week. I would say almost has a bean taste. The slime is very minimal, boiled okra has way more. Eat it if you have not, it is fire.

Believe it or not I actually had a dish with cactus here in the US. Was actually pretty good. Reminded me of over steamed green peppers.
