I grew up seeing my father getting served first and my mum dished his meal in separate vessels, meat, rice, ground provision, etc. My father was the provider for our household. I did the same with my husband.

Husband first. Thats how you teach the children to respect him too. My dad always got his plate out for him. After a certain age the kids were left to make our own plates but my mom always made my dad’s plate to this day. They’ve been married 45+ years. The kids aren’t going to die if they wait 3 minutes

I don't have children, but both my parents believed that the children should be taken care of first. We would sit at the table, and whoever cooked would serve us first, then the other parent, then themselves, then we'd all eat together. As an adult, I asked my Dad why he did this, and he said "a grown man can handle hunger better than a child. Feed the children first. What kind of man would I be if I sit there eating while my children hungry? That's not a Father." I love my Dad.😊❤
