From what I know about any type of racing, if you are not fully ahead of the other person you always have to leave space for them when taking turns to prevent crashes. If I’m wrong, I apologize

Too aggressive. Even if your opponent wanted to break, the cutoff was too fast. You could only do that if you’re back wheels are ahead his front wheels in karting.

It was definitely ur fault because u were overtaken him and left him no space at the apex, you should’ve gone more wide to prevent that collision but that just gives my flashbacks to 1989 Japan and 1990 Japan

You guys both made a mistake I'd say. You didn't give the other racer enough room for him to be able to take the corner. As of him, he could have also reduced speed, to be able to make the corner aswell. Now, I'm not a professional karter, so I don't know what his hand gesture ment, but if he ment "The corner is mine", then you should've backed out and not done a divebomb, BUT, if the other driver ment "You can go ahead", then he should've applied brakes earlier.

You didnt account for an obvious rookie and cut across to take the normal racing line. He could of avoided but again limited experience showed.
In summary 10 second penalty to ocon.

As a karter myself i would say you were in the wrong. Reason i say this is because he was well visible and clearly taking it tight. You decided to act as he wasn't there and take the normal apex which would be good if they were not there but you decided to take it instead of going around him a bit. Next time you do a risky turn like that id recommend leaving half a kart of room for the other driver to at least provide a little bit of racing room for them and so they don't spin out possibly giving you a penalty for lack of racing room
