Neil’s drumming became subtle and relaxed only on the album “Test for Echo”. unfortunately tragedy struck after Test for Echo. What the band as a whole experienced during those years between 97 through 2001 would change them completely and THE DIRECTION their music went. You can hear it on their last 3 albums,
VAPOR TRAILS was vindictive, rage filled and rocked with a vengeance “you can hear it in Neil’s playing. The RUSH produced version is much better than Nicks produced version.
SNAKES AND ARROWS was redemption
CLOCKWORK ANGELS made Peace with all.
I miss Neil, and his drumming, Geddy’s and Alex’s music was my life’s Soundtrack

🤔 imo the ppl that didnt like Mr Neil growing and changing as a drummer obviously nvr really listen to his lyrics - thats kinda the stuff he wrote about growth - change - learning an life and life is what he wrote about and i for one an happy he did what he did and left us amazing songs with amazing message

My uncle Neil was the greatest rock drummer ever, but even more he was one of the greatest, most humble people, you could ever meet. I miss him everyday
