The apparent disappearance of the color when viewed from above is a fascinating optical illusion caused by refraction. As light passes from the water into the air, it bends due to a change in its speed. This bending, or refraction, alters the path of the light rays, causing them to miss your eye when viewed from directly above. However, when observed from the side, the angle of the light entering the water is different, allowing the rays to reach your eye and reveal the color. Essentially, the water's curved surface acts like a lens, creating an optical illusion that masks the color from one perspective while revealing it from another.

as the object is inside a bag which contains air in it , and water sorrounds the bag, this causes light to travel from an optically denser to a rarer medium, which causes total internal reflection , and the light rays just bounce off ofthe bag
