I snowboarded to the backside of my home mountain and rode into the forest.
Lichens hung off the branches draped in snow.
I dug a hole down to the bare ground where I found a green plant still rooted to the earth.
There I made an offering of sacred herbs to the earth.
I placed them upon the bare ground and spoke my intentions for the next month out loud.
Then I smoked the ceremonial peace pipe, covered up the offering of herbs with snow, and then snowboarded some powder snow down through the forest.
