I truly don't understand where the problem was with this episode. I just finished watching it and thought it was very well done. Is the problem that the Jedi did a kinda bad thing and that's not ok because the Jedi are always perfect? Because if that's the case you do not understand the complexities of the star wars universe. The Jedi are not a force that can do no wrong, they have made MANY mistakes and have done a lot of pretty bad things, it's part of what makes the story so interesting. The good side is not purely good, they have imperfections that make the audience question their morality, it's not meant for you to agree with everything the Jedi do. Anakin's downfall is largely blamed on the Jedi Council, fans have had no problem making the Jedi the bad guys in the past, I'm not really sure why it's a problem now.

Sadly they think it's good, because quality of the product isn't the goal, pushing the message and enforcing ideological change is. They admit it happily. Hire on merit and you will get good scripts. Hire on diversity and you'll get.... this, especially when they're limited so heavily in what they can write.
