My sisters bedroom growing up had a black burn streak across the window trim about 5 inches long. It was bc she had a makeup mirror next to the window. It had two sides, one normal and one that magnified the image. The magnified side was facing the window and the suns magnified reflection caused the burn.
The reason it was a streak and not a spot is because it continued to burn as the sun moved across the sky. My parents threw the mirror out.
