We shared valuable tips on safe chicken handling with food bank clients and volunteers, showed them how to roast a whole chicken to perfection, and demonstrated how to transform leftovers into our delicious Chicken Lime & Cheese Quesadillas! We wrapped up the day by serving a fantastic lunch featuring the dishes we prepared and enjoyed a virtual visit to a Manitoba broiler farm to see how our farmers raise chickens with care. ๐ฉโ๐พ๐๐จโ๐พ
Everyone left with new skills, great kitchen tools (including digital meat thermometers), and tasty recipes to try at home.
