I'm apparently the opposite of "anybody" since I have always been able to tap out the tempo of any song you could name and Is be spot on and I was known about peers for my right hand.
My love of EVH's rhythm was part of that.
But I'm useless at the dusty end of the neck and have almost no interest in ripping.

That is exactly why I was a rhythm Ayer for the first 6 years I played. I wanted to have solid foundations before I broke free to solo.

Playing rhythm requires having great feel. If a guitarist plays nothing but sequences when they solo you know their rhythm playing is not very good.
