Alex Lifeson is a Rock-N-Roll GENIUS! But the greatest part of his career was being able to understand just how great the other two members of his were! He could confidently look any other guitarist in the eye 👁 and know they don’t have Geddy Lee or Neil Peart!!! To overplay those two guys would have ruined the 40+ years of our favorite bands excellent sound❤️ Whata ride it’s been, whata RUSH😉

Alex Lifeson never seems to feature on the guitar greats list yet he played with an absolutely virtuoso rhythm section. For me he's like Mark Knopfler in that his sound perfectly fits in with the overall band sound. He is technically just as good as anyone but largely overlooked. No other guitarist no matter how good would have had the same chemistry (no pun intended).
