Day 24 of one boating tip a day !

If you ever pulled into a marina in the Med (also in BVI maybe other places with less tide) you probably struggled tying the moorings lines as the wind pushes you’re bow away, it’s windy, stressful and the Marineros are screaming at you unclear instructions, well I’m here to help, next time just throw the windward line, have them lock it on the dock or lock it back on your cleat, and now go fwd until theres tension on the line, turn the helm to LEEWARD to bring the stern into WINDWARD so it can peacefully spring on the stern windward cleat, raise RPM in stages and watch how easy the bow goes up, I’ve done it in sketchy Croatia docks with 25+ kn of wind from the side, more RPM maybe a bit help from the thruster and the boat can stay in place so you can do the stern lines by yourself, prepare from before and don’t stress, you can do it !
