Tbh 7-0 is highly destructive when sustained over a long period. From experience working 10am-4am 6 days a week and 1pm-11pm on the seventh for an extended period.
5-2 can definitely work, but you need to work with intensity, and not just clock in 8 hours. Then the 2 days is one for rebalancing general life maintenance (cleaning, groceries, etc.) and the other day off for deep intense rest.

So I work 4 days a week (7.45-17:15) in a job I love that gives me so much energy - to be fully present for my family the other 3 days for a pretty good pay, 6 weeks a year paid vacation and I build a proper pension through my job as well. But yeah I'm not American....

I am an educator and that does not work. I love my job and find passion in it, so while I would even love to work 7 days a week. I make sure to put in 5 and an hour on the weekend and take the rest of the time to rest, reset, and take time for my family and I.
I think the real idea here is find a career or job you find passion in and make a difference in each day. I absolutely love what I do. 19 years in and making the days count

I heard a joke once that entrapreneurs are the only people willing to work 60 hours a week to avoid working 40 hours a week 🤣
