1. GET A BETTER FILTER
2. GET SOME PLANTS, MORE PLANTS, IF YOU THINK ITS TO MUCH THAN BUY 10 MORE ORE
3. USE A SECOND TANK AS FILTER WITH PLANTS.
4. USE CO2
5. DONT "ADD WATER" YOU HAVE TO CHANGE WATER.

You need to watch some YouTube videos on doing a water change correctly. Kicking up that much debris, like others have said on multiple videos is not desirable and should be avoided as kicks up all the bad stuff, negatively affecting your livestock.

Big tip, make sure to turn OFF your hob filter when cleaning the media and taking it out, that surge of fine particulate poop and waste stuck at the bottom of aquaclears being shot into the water column causes tons of issues. I know bc i used to do it.
1. All the decaying organic matter and poop dust sticks to everything and instantly causes biofilm growth
2. That much waste and ammonia being let back in all at once could shock and kill your inhabitants.
Just unplug your filter, take the media out and clean it as you were, put it ALL back in nice and then power it back on, you'll notice you wont have a cloud of poop mist everytime and random alage issues 24/7.
