When it gets too rough, just depower the sails a little bit, or a more bit, just ease the mainsheet, let it luff when you’re going upwind and it will depower the boat, stop the heel, now you can deal with the drama and maybe even put on a reef so it won’t be that bad ? Pay attention that easing the main all the way might cause boom to swing if it’s wavy and potentially damage the boat, so do this with care please 😁
