As long as you had no ego before your current existence, it makes sense that you can go back to nothingness. The idea of an afterlife should not be an obvious thought; it should rather be discovered and researched. The obvious thought is that non existence waits for everyone at death.

Dude didnt denounce other beliefs, or belittle anyone for disagreeing with him here, he was just asked what he believed happened after death and he answered with what he believed.

A really crazy fact to think about is the fact that most adults do not believe in death. The average person genuinely cannot handle simply accepting that one day they wonβt exist anymore. Itβs too scary and so they literally deny perhaps the most simple and inescapable fact of life
