Aside from lacking the extended side tanks, and having a flat running board, this engine looks exactly like Thomas. It even has the same splashers that the E2 didn't, which always bugged me about Thomas being an E2.

Midland Railway was always the closest railway heritage site from home when I was young, so I have fond childhood memories of this engine when they did 'Day Out with Thomas'. The actual Jinty has almost finished it's overhaul and due to go back into service soon!

This reminds me of a fan series called jimmy the jinty series made by dcg12b itâs one of the more under looked series due to the quality but the writing is a peace of art

One of the jintys at midland railway was actually Thomas in the NWR blue. Worth a visit to butterley railway and throwing them a quid or two.

Imagine if Jinty or Albert appeared in the Thomas Model series, either or could be paint red with yellow stripes or green stripes or blue stripes and number 12 on the side tanks.

I like the livery on this Jinty as it so amazing and beautiful for an tank engine that only has black liveryâs throughout their working life with both the LMS & British Railways. And having one of the preserved examples in this livery is what I say awesome.

Ah yes a red Jinty. I have one myself in LMS crimson lake, 16440 I think the number is. Fairly old model that one, but still runs alright
