Well he wasn't totally forgotten because I was born October 21 st, 1955 and I heard about him about 8 years later and I watched movies with him in them. He was scary to me, but I enjoyed his movies!!!

Re: Bela’s name pronunciation. I was very serious about finding the correct pronunciation. Bela himself says it Bay-la. I put a clip of him saying his name in the long form video or you can search for The Mark of the Vampire trailer😊. If he said it Bay-La that’s good enough for me! But additionally in his very thorough biography “The immortal Count” the first line of the book the author writes the phonetic “Bay’-La.” It’s a great read recommend for Bela fans!
